The Ambassador Club is a community service club for 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students.
The focus of the club is to support Hingham Middle School's mission to provide all children with a positive learning atmosphere which offers students an opportunity to be challenged to their utmost ability, fosters understanding between diverse people, promotes services to others, and instills a feeling of self worth. The Ambassador Club strives to help our students become connected to Hingham Middle School and the surround communities through participation in charitable work.
Past activities have included: participating in food drives for our local food pantry, volunteering for Rosie’s Place, clearing the Nature Trail, sponsoring school visitors such as Ithacapella, supplying toiletries and other items to overseas troops, providing tour guides for visitors to HMS, visiting and contributing to Children’s Hospital and Coins for Cures, volunteering for the Pan Mass Challenge Kids Rides, and running teh HMS Trivia Bowl.
In the past, over fifty students have attended meetings and took part in volunteering. Our membership continues to grow as students learn more about what it means to be an Ambassador.
Meetings and volunteer opportunities are publicized through the morning announcements and HMS Happenings. The Ambassador Club meets periodically throughout the year.
